Odelia Powell, Esq., MSW

Odelia Powell (KP), Esq. is an agile and creative business attorney with a long history working with artists and creative professionals to navigate their legal needs and realize their business goals. Her experience managing bands and many independent businesses gives her a deep understanding of how to optimize deals for profit, longevity, and security. She understands the importance of structuring deals that provide strong protections while allowing for growth and collaboration. 

Her diverse background contributes to her creativity and thoughtfulness in the legal counsel she provides. As band manager, she focused on artistic development and execution of vision while building solid and sustainable business infrastructure and practices. As a business owner, she has taken many ideas from the planning and theory stages to execution; she understands the importance of being able to adapt and rework when unforeseen obstacles and opportunities present themselves. She is also a social worker with extensive experience mediating between parties who are trying to make or renegotiate deals in a manner that is beneficial for everyone involved. 

Odelia received her BA from The New School and her JD from Brooklyn Law School where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She also holds an MSW from Hunter College and is a member of the New York State Bar.
